This small fireplace was restored to a period-appropriate appearance, after having been stucco for many years. To keep costs down, economical matte-glaze tiles are mixed with historic reproductions of Ernest Batchelder pine-cone accent tiles by Tile Restoration Center.

New wrought-iron fireplace doors were also designed and custom built for the firebox opening.
